About

Adam King Adventures was established in the name of a remarkable young man. Adam King, a seven-year-old boy from Cork, Ireland, has touched the lives of millions of people. His appearance on the RTÉ Late Late Toy Show™ in November 2020 brought joy to so many in Ireland and around the world. Adam shared his dreams of becoming a CAPCOM at NASA and his challenges with a lifelong brittle bone condition - Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI for short). However, nothing will get in Adam’s way as he seeks to pursue the many ambitions he has in life.

In a time when human connection is more important and more challenging than ever, the world was introduced to Adam’s Virtual Hug (© Adam King, 2020). This gesture of love and connection is reflective of Adam as a person and his spirit, and has become a symbol for unity and togetherness for people and groups around the world.

Our family have been fighting for Adam’s life since before he was born. Fiona, Adam’s mother, travelled to Sweden with his Dad David to partake in an experimental in utero stem cell trial during
her second trimester with Adam. When Adam was born, Fiona and David were determined his life would be an adventure. Through countless hours of medical appointments and ongoing engagement in the community, we continually help Adam grow up as a supported, connected, healthy and happy child, realising his potential and living his fullest life

Like many other children who grow up with additional needs, Adam requires lifelong medical care and assistance. Through Adam King Adventures © our family hopes to put supports in place for Adam’s future care, welfare, and independence. We also hope through our charity partnerships to continue to support and raise awareness of charities that are very close to our hearts.

Adam and his family believe in helping and giving - this is their passion and this will be the guiding compass for all the endeavours of Adam King Adventures.
